Kaunas is Suggested Cheapening Heat

National Control Commission for Prices and Energy (NCCPE) proposed Kaunas Heat and Power Plant (KHPP) establishing the heat production price of 14.67 %cents per kilowatt-hour. “This week Commission plans to establish the new heat production price, however, its lawfulness will come to light only after the court decision”, states Antanas Pranculis, the Director General of KHPP. Controlled by GAZPROM, KHPP requested establishing the price of 16.31 cents per kilowatt-hour.
